The candidate we are looking for must be Malaysian, has more than 15 years of relevant experience - with at least 10 years in a supervisory role and 5 years in rejuvenation of brownfield asset.

This role will be either a permanent role or direct hire contract and is based at our office in Maxis Tower, KLCC.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reports to the Head of Engineering, Projects and Assurance.

The position has single point accountability for the planning and direct management of platform modifications, fabric maintenance / rejuvenation campaigns (corrective maintenance on piping and structural components) and the related marine spreads required for working on a large number of remote satellite platforms. In addition, the position will manage the day-to-day topsides major maintenance works and the related annual turnaround activities.

Responsible for ensuring that all activities are managed within HSE, quality, cost and schedule constraints and the provision of senior management level weekly and monthly progress reports.

The position will require the ability to work closely with the Operations and Wells Groups to efficiently execute activities offshore, whilst minimising downtime and managing SIMOPS risks.

The candidate will also need to be capable of the identification and development of the necessary project procedures for these brownfield works.

Within the Engineering, Projects and Assurance group the peers of this position will be the Engineering and Integrity Team Lead and the Life Extension Manager.

The direct reporting personnel will consist of: Projects Engineers (2 off), QAQC inspector and Construction Superintendent.

A hands-on approach to project management and reporting will be required and ability to work in a flat organisational environment.

Note: Greenfield projects may be part of this role depending on experience level of the candidate (this will run from FEED through detail design, fabrication, installation and commissioning).

JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (key tasks/services for which incumbent is responsible)

Management of all brownfield projects in the EnQuest Malaysia business with a practical hands-on involvement with the projects to ensure delivery against HSE, quality, cost and schedule requirements. Experience of providing senior management status updates will be a prerequisite of the position. The ability to provide pragmatic and innovative solutions will be expected.

Typical individual brownfield projects will have values in the range of RM500,000 to RM10 million however the asset rejuvenation campaign (painting / blasting and piping / structural replacement) will have a total value of over RM150 million over a 2 to 3-year period.

Management of multiple concurrent projects will be required with a strong focus on cost and schedule. An excellent understanding of the marine operation aspects of satellite platform work is a prerequisite.

Maintenance of relationships with PETRONAS and PCSB at working and management levels.

Responsible for ensuring that an appropriate yet robust project management framework is in place to ensure cost, schedule and quality targets are achieved.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Accountable for HSE performance for all related activities;
• Management of the day-to-day Topsides Major Maintenance Contractor;
• Execution of brownfield projects in line with the EQ Management of Engineering Change process and provision of suitable information to facilitate close-out;
• Management of project and construction teams both onshore and offshore;
• Management reporting on project progress and performance;
• Cost reporting to Finance (including issues such as AFE’s, Commitments, VOWD and Cash);
• Development of a fit-for-purpose project management process to ensure execution of projects in line with agreed cost and schedule targets.
• Champion the risk management and value improvement processes for projects.
• Champion the implementation of QAQC processes for all modification works.

• Good awareness of engineering processes and procedures;
• Strong practical knowledge of fabrication / construction and offshore execution (for manned and unmanned facilities).
• Awareness and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Have the motivation and ability to develop and improve existing processes;
• Familiarity with PPGUA and PTS required.

Experience
• 15+ years of oil and gas experience in engineering / project environments;
• 10+ years in a management / supervisory role.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in oil and gas asset rejuvenation programmes including brownfield modifications in an offshore environment;
• Operational experience would be considered as advantageous;
• Strong working knowledge of HSE practices in the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge and experience of applying project and business risk assessment techniques.



QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Valid offshore passport.

Salary Range  MYR 1 - 2 per annum
